| Factory reset (Hard reset) |
The reset button is hidden behind the back cover of this small device. Remove the cover and locate the reset button (hole) at the bottom – see the picture above. With the device powered on, use a pin (paperclip) to press and hold the RESET button (hole) for about 5 seconds – until you see that the OLED screen on the front comes off AND after that displays “TP-LINK”; only then release the button and wait a minute or two while device reboots and restores its factory default settings – password and IP adress. |
